Cairo Tower

 Cairo Tower

The Cairo Tower is a significant tourist attraction, constructed between 1956 and 1961 using reinforced concrete in the shape of the Egyptian lotus flower. Located in the heart of Cairo on Zamalek Island along the Nile River, the tower stands 187 meters tall, which is 43 meters taller than the Great Pyramid of Giza. It consists of 16 floors and is supported by a base made of Aswan granite stones, reminiscent of those used by ancient Egyptians in temples and tombs, blending tradition with modernity. Externally, the tower offers panoramic views from its observation deck, showcasing Cairo, the Pyramids, the TV Tower, the Sphinx, the Nile, and Salah El-Din Citadel. The ascent to the top takes approximately 45 seconds, making visitors feel as if they are viewing all of Egypt at once through binoculars. The tower's 14th-floor restaurant, located 160 meters high, provides a unique dining experience with its revolving design centered around a fixed point, allowing diners to enjoy continuous views of Cairo. It's a perfect spot for capturing memorable photos with family or friends.
